NEW CITY — Three people died when their vehicle struck a tree on N. Little Tor Road early Sunday morning, police said.
The Clarkstown Police Department responded to the crash near the intersection of N. Little Tor Road and Roberts Road at approximately 3 a.m.
Officers found a gray Honda Civic that had been traveling northbound on N. Little Tor Road before leaving the roadway and striking a tree.
The vehicle sustained catastrophic damage in the collision.
All three occupants — two males and one female — were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Police are withholding the victims’ names and ages pending family notification.
The department’s Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
