NEWPORT CENTER — Vermont State Police investigated a vandalism report on Lake Road at 8:38 p.m. Thursday.
Investigation revealed Samuel Stancliff, 27, of Morrisville, was operating a motor vehicle recklessly in a field and was asked to leave by the property owner.
Upon leaving, Stancliff purposely damaged a truck belonging to Jake Leblanc, 22, of Newport Center.
Morrisville Police located Stancliff and conducted a traffic stop in Morrisville.
Stancliff was issued a citation for unlawful mischief and ordered to appear in court.
