PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested a 38-year-old Cranston man on drunken driving charges following a traffic stop on Hartford Avenue at 11:15 p.m.
Alfredo Perez Chanchavac, of Cranston, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, second offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.
The arrest was made by troopers from the Scituate Barracks during a motor vehicle stop in Providence.
Perez Chanchavac was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
He was released to the custody of a responsible adult.
