Cambridge man arrested on second DUI charge after speeding stop

CAMBRIDGE — A 48-year-old Cambridge man was arrested on his second DUI charge after being stopped for speeding on Vermont Route 108 North near the Fletcher town line on Sept. 26.

Troy Pecor Sr. was clocked traveling 68 mph in a posted 50 mph zone at approximately 8:38 p.m., according to Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the Williston Barracks were conducting stationary radar speed enforcement when they observed the violation.

During the traffic stop, troopers detected the odor of intoxicants and screened Pecor for impairment.

He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Morristown Police Department for processing.

Pecor was released with a citation to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Nov. 5 at 12:30 p.m. to answer the DUI charge.

He was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for the speeding violation, which carries a waiver amount of $172 and 2 points.
