WORCESTER — Worcester Police Department’s Vice Squad detectives arrested a 28-year-old man on drug trafficking charges after observing an alleged drug transaction on King Street Sept. 26.
Detectives observed a male and female approach a man and engage in what appeared to be a drug transaction at approximately 8:30 a.m., according to police.
When detectives approached the male and female buyers, they discovered the woman had crack cocaine in her possession.
The woman was charged with possession of a Class B substance.
The suspected dealer was identified as Kevon Simpson, 28.
Detectives found crack cocaine and fentanyl on Simpson when they stopped him.
The fentanyl weighed 20.4 grams and the cocaine weighed 7 grams, police said.
Simpson was arrested and charged with trafficking Class A substance (fentanyl) 18-36 grams, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, distribution of a Class B substance and possession of a Class B substance.
