PITTSFIELD — Police made 59 arrests between Sept. 8 and Sept. 22, according to department records.
On Sept. 9 at 3 p.m., officers responded to 350 West St. for a reported disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers heard a 77-year-old man screaming profanities and sexual comments at another resident.
After multiple unsuccessful attempts to stop the disturbance, the man was arrested for disturbing the peace.
On Sept. 9 at 9 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance on Pecks Road.
After investigating, police determined a man unsuccessfully attempted to drive his vehicle into a woman during an argument.
The man was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon.
On Sept. 10 at 6 p.m., officers responded to Francis Avenue for a reported disturbance.
A woman was located causing an active disturbance and resisted when officers attempted to detain her, swinging at an officer’s face.
She was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 or disabled, two counts of assault and battery, vandalism and resisting arrest.
On Sept. 13 at 4:30 a.m., six officers responded to Richmond Avenue for a large disturbance with multiple people fighting.
Witnesses said an unknown driver struck a woman with a vehicle before fleeing.
The vehicle was located with occupants still inside, and the driver was arrested for leaving the scene of personal injury and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injury.
On Sept. 13 at 7:45 p.m., officers responded to Lakeway Drive for a reported disturbance between parties.
A vehicle involved in the disturbance was later located and stopped, with a 6-year-old child in the backseat.
The driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested for child endangerment while operating under the influence, having a child under 8 unsecured in a car seat, and not having a license in possession.
On Sept. 14 at 3 a.m., officers responded to Harvard Street for loud music, the fourth call that night about the same address.
A resident refused to provide identification, and when officers attempted to arrest him for the ongoing disturbance, he resisted and dragged officers inside the residence.
He was arrested for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.
On Sept. 16 at 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance where a woman was kicking a door.
The suspect had left but police determined she used a large knife to stab the front door multiple times.
She was located shortly after, still carrying the knife, and arrested on two counts of vandalism.
On Sept. 16 at 11:15 a.m., anti-crime officers conducting an arrest on North Street were alerted by citizens to another disturbance.
A man was yelling and screaming before throwing a metal trash can into the street.
After refusing orders to get on the ground, pepper spray was used and he was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
On Sept. 17 at 4:30 p.m., officers responded to Dartmouth Street for a report of someone threatening others with a knife.
Investigation revealed a physical altercation where a brick was thrown through a car windshield and a knife was swung at individuals.
The suspect with the knife was arrested for two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and vandalism.
On Sept. 17 at 11 p.m., officers continued searching for an individual involved in a Sept. 16 incident involving a firearm.
The same suspect had been arrested Sept. 6 with ammunition and drugs found on his person.
Officers located the suspect in the backseat of a vehicle on Second Street, but the vehicle fled when officers attempted a traffic stop.
The vehicle crashed at Dan Fox Drive and South Street, injuring the suspect who was transported to Berkshire Medical Center.
The driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.
On Sept. 20 at 5:30 a.m., officers responded to Dalton Avenue for a reported disturbance.
Police determined an individual attempting to sell marijuana then tried to rob the buyer at knifepoint.
