SOUTH RYEGATE — Vermont State Police are searching for two Bradford residents wanted in connection with a road rage incident that resulted in gunfire on US Route 302 on Sept. 20.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks obtained New England-wide and New York extraditable arrest warrants for Justin French, 36, and Kayla Cabey, 33.
Both suspects face charges of first-degree attempted murder, reckless endangerment and criminal threatening.
Police consider French and Cabey armed and dangerous.
The suspects are known to frequent Orange, Caledonia and Washington counties in Vermont, and have strong ties to Grafton County, New Hampshire.
Authorities advise anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts not to approach them and instead call 911, their local police department, or the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury barracks at 802-748-3111, option 8.

Police said the investigation indicates the shooting was not a random act of violence and involved people who knew each other.
The investigation is ongoing and involves detectives from the Vermont State Police Criminal Division.
