AUBURN — Members of the Auburn Police Department responded to the area of Cayuga St. for a reported physical domestic incident on Sept. 24 at approximately 8:50 a.m.
Upon arrival officers located a female victim with an injury to her hand and damage to her vehicle.
Also present with the female was her young child.
The victim and witnesses advised officers that the female had responded to the area to pick up some belongings where she was attacked by the male, identified as Michael F. Abdelhady.
Michael reportedly struck the female and her vehicle causing an injury to her hand and dents to her vehicle.
The child was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Through the investigation it was learned that there was a full stay away order of protection, protecting the victim from Michael.
Michael fled the scene prior to police arrival but was located a short time later where he was taken into custody related to this incident and an unrelated bench warrant issued out of Auburn City Court.
Michael F. Abdelhady was charged with aggravated family offense, criminal contempt in the first degree, criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment in the second degree.
Michael was also processed on the bench warrant.
Michael was transported to Auburn City Court for arraignment and was subsequently remanded to the Cayuga County Jail.
