Geneva police arrest Rochester man on drug charges

GENEVA — Members of the City of Geneva Police Department’s Detective Bureau arrested Shimal A. Slade, a resident of Rochester, for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at approximately 4 p.m.

After several weeks of investigation, the Detective Bureau identified Shimal A. Slade as selling narcotics from a residence on Genesee Street.

Shimal A. Slade was found to have approximately $800 on him while being taken into custody.

Shimal A. Slade was processed at the Geneva Police Department and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.

The defendant was released from custody at arraignment without bail and will appear in the City of Geneva Criminal Court at a later date.

The Geneva Police Department thanked the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.

Slade, 27, of Rochester, New York, was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B felony.
