Wethersfield police arrest fugitive wanted for homicide in North Carolina

WETHERSFIELD — Police arrested a fugitive wanted on a homicide warrant from North Carolina during a domestic incident investigation Sept. 22.

Officers responded to a location in Wethersfield at approximately 6:20 p.m. for a domestic-related incident.

During the investigation, police discovered that Rajasaffiyya Drain, 28, had an outstanding warrant from the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina for homicide.

The warrant allows for full extradition.

Drain was charged with fugitive from justice and held on $1,000,000 bond.

Drain is scheduled to appear at GA 15 New Britain on Sept. 23.
