WICKFORD — A New Hampshire man was arrested late Tuesday on an active bench warrant.
Troopers took Hezekiah Mendoza, 40, of 25 Brookside Terrace, Allenstown, New Hampshire, into custody at 11:49 p.m.
The arrest occurred during a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in Warwick.
Mendoza was wanted on a Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a Frye hearing.
The original charge is felony assault from the Providence Police Department.
He was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks for processing.
Mendoza was later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Service Center.
