GREENWICH — A Greenwich man was arrested Thursday on charges of possessing child sexual exploitation material.
Zachary T. Daniels, 28, of Cohoes, N.Y., was taken into custody at 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 11.
He was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
The arrest followed a joint investigation by State Police, the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Authorities began investigating after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Daniels was arrested during a traffic stop in Easton, N.Y.
He was transported to the State Police barracks in Greenwich for processing.
Daniels was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Easton Town Court on Sept. 18.
