Drug raid at Dunkirk apartment yields cocaine, fentanyl and cash

DUNKIRK — A multi-agency narcotics investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at an upper apartment on Columbus Street on Wednesday.

Authorities conducted the operation at 431 Columbus St. at 6:15 a.m. on Sept. 17.

This marks the second search warrant executed at the same address within the past four months.

Personnel from the Dunkirk Police Department, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and the Jamestown Police Department participated in the investigation.

The Dunkirk Police Special Response Team made the initial entry into the apartment.

Investigators reported seizing 2.0 grams of cocaine, 12.15 grams of crack cocaine, and 1.5 grams of fentanyl.

Officials also confiscated a quantity of pills, scales, packaging materials used for narcotics distribution, and $1,980 in U.S. currency.

One suspect, identified as Brook, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third, fourth, and seventh degrees, along with criminally using drug paraphernalia in the first degree.

A second suspect, identified as Geddis, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third, fourth, and seventh degrees, and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

Both individuals were transported to the Dunkirk Police Department for processing and awaited arraignment in Dunkirk City Court.
