HOOKSETT — Police responded to a bomb threat at Southern New Hampshire University on Friday afternoon.
The Hooksett Police Department was notified of the threat at approximately 3 p.m. on Sept. 19.
An email was received advising that a pipe bomb was located in the Edward S. Wolak Library, formerly known as the Shapiro Library.
The building was evacuated by SNHU Campus Safety and Hooksett police officers.
A sweep of the building was completed by explosive detection K-9 units from the Hooksett and Manchester police departments.
The threat was determined not to be credible.
Students and staff were allowed back inside once the building was cleared.
The building was closed for approximately one hour.
Further investigation will attempt to identify the origin of the email.
