RICHFORD — A 42-year-old man was arrested Sept. 18 on an outstanding warrant and for failing to comply with the Vermont Sex Offender Registry.
Vermont State Police troopers from the St. Albans Barracks located Jonathan Johnson of Richford on Main Street at approximately 7:10 p.m. during a patrol.
Johnson had an active arrest warrant for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, a misdemeanor charge under Vermont statute.
Police determined Johnson was also non-compliant with the Vermont Sex Offender Registry requirements.
Johnson was taken into custody and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans, where he was held on $200 bail.
He was issued a citation to appear before Franklin County Criminal Court on Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. for the warrant-related charge.
Johnson received a separate citation for the sex offender registry violation requiring him to appear in Franklin County Criminal Court on Oct. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
