JAMESTOWN — Two men were arrested Sept. 18 after police responded to a burglary in progress on W. 8th Street at around 5:27 p.m.
Officers located Jeson S.D. Allen and Damion L. Carlson carrying miscellaneous pipes, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Investigation determined the men had stolen pipes valued at more than $1,000 from the property.
Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Allen was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree.
Carlson was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal trespass in the third degree.
Both men are being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
In a separate incident early Sept. 18, officers from the department’s 3rd Platoon observed a vehicle commit a moving violation while leaving a downtown business at around 1:49 a.m.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver, Kyle S. Stilson, was driving while intoxicated.
Stilson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail.
He was charged with DWI, DWI per se and unsafe starting, then released to appear in court at a later date.
On Sept. 19 at around 1:18 a.m., officers responded to The Wine Cellar for a report of an unwanted individual.
The subject had left the premises before officers arrived, but police observed the individual, identified as William A. Suroviec, 42, of Clymer, New York, drive past the business.
Officers witnessed a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop.
Investigation determined Suroviec was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Suroviec was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued a traffic citation.
