AUBURN — A 51-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly threatening to blow up Auburn Community Hospital and the police station.
James Brooks was at 17 Lansing St. at Auburn Community Hospital at approximately 1:29 p.m. when he began threatening staff and officers who were at the hospital, according to Sgt. A. Gonzalez.
Brooks made threats to blow the hospital up, including additional threats to blow up the police station.
Brooks was eventually taken into custody without incident and transported to Auburn Police Department headquarters.
Brooks was charged with two counts of making a terroristic threat, a class D felony.
Brooks was then processed on the arrest and transported to the Cayuga County Jail for arraignment.
