LAWRENCE — Last week, the Gang Unit and the Street Narcotics Enforcement Unit, in collaboration with the Massachusetts State Police VFAS Unit, executed a search warrant in the area of Dunstable Street in connection with a recent shots fired incident.
As a result of the search, detectives arrested a male suspect on firearms-related charges.
Police recovered an EA Co KR SPR model AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.
Officers also seized a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun.
Three loaded 9mm magazines were found during the search.
Police recovered 88 additional rounds of 9mm ammunition.
The suspect was transported to the Lawrence Police Department and booked without incident.
