HOLYOKE — Holyoke police officers seized more than 120 vials of crack-cocaine and 15 bags of heroin/fentanyl during a Wednesday evening arrest.
Officers Xavier DeJesus and Johnathan Ortiz were patrolling near Elm Street and Appleton Street at approximately 8:20 p.m. Sept. 17 when they observed three people in a dark area of a pizza shop parking lot that had “No Trespassing” and “No Loitering” signs posted.
The officers approached and spoke with the individuals.
Additional officers arrived and observed a crack pipe between the feet of one subject, identified as Josue Mora-Mantilla.
Mora-Mantilla and the two other subjects were detained for trespassing.
Officers recovered approximately 15 bags of heroin/fentanyl and several bags containing 126 vials of crack-cocaine on Mora-Mantilla.
Officers also seized $148 in cash.
The two other subjects were released.
Josue Mora-Mantilla, 48, of Springfield, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug, possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug and trespassing.
Officers will seek a criminal complaint against one female subject for trespassing and crack-cocaine possession.
