BOSTON — Two men have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Dorchester variety store last month.
The robbery occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 at Quincy Variety on Quincy Street.
A masked suspect armed with a knife entered the store, threatened the clerk, and stole several hundred dollars before fleeing on foot, according to Boston Police Department detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury).
Detectives identified a bright blue BMW sedan as the getaway vehicle.
Surveillance footage and investigation linked the vehicle to 27-year-old Oshaine Pearson of Dorchester, who was arrested on Sept. 17.
Pearson was charged with armed robbery, accessory after the fact, and conspiracy.
The masked suspect inside the store was identified as 25-year-old Paul Tomlinson of Dorchester.
Detectives linked Tomlinson to the incident through video surveillance, phone records, and corroborating evidence connecting him to Pearson and the BMW.
Tomlinson was arrested the same day and charged with armed robbery and conspiracy.
Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
