2 Elmira men arrested after rifle threat reported on West Gray Street

ELMIRA — Two men were arrested after police responded to reports of a male subject threatening residents with a rifle in the 300 block of West Gray Street on Tuesday night.

Elmira Police Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:30 p.m. Sept. 17.

Officers detained subjects involved in a disturbance and investigated the incident.

Davion Jones, 28, of Elmira, was charged with two counts of menacing in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor, and one count of failure to safely store rifles, shotguns, and firearms in the first degree, also a Class A misdemeanor.

Jeremy Wilson Jr., 31, of Elmira, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a Class D felony.

Both Wilson and Jones were held pending arraignment in Elmira City Court.
