SPRINGFIELD — A 35-year-old Plainfield man was arrested Friday afternoon after attempting to flee from police who discovered he had an active warrant.
Kameron Bomhower was located during an unrelated incident at approximately 3:33 p.m. in the Riverside Middle School parking lot at 13 Fairground Road, according to Springfield Police.
Officers found that Bomhower had an active extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire.
As police were detaining Bomhower pending confirmation of the warrant, he attempted to flee on foot.
After a short foot pursuit, officers took Bomhower into custody at 3:41 p.m.
Springfield Dispatch confirmed the extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire.
Bomhower was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
He was issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on Sept. 15 to answer charges of fugitive from justice and resisting arrest.
Bomhower was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $30,000 cash or surety bail.
