WEST HAVEN — A 71-year-old man with dementia who went missing from his residence has been located, police said.
Jimmie Portee was found this afternoon, according to the West Haven Police Department.
Portee had left his residence at approximately 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 without his cell phone.
He was described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and 230 pounds.
Portee was last seen wearing black pants, black sneakers and a green button-up shirt with a yellow flower pattern.
He was also wearing a gray and blue jacket when he disappeared.
