SPRINGFIELD — A 34-year-old Springfield woman was arrested on an active warrant Tuesday afternoon while walking on Clinton Street.
Courtney Griffin was taken into custody at 3:39 p.m. near Shanghai Garden after officers on patrol recognized her, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Officers had prior knowledge that an active in-state arrest warrant had recently been issued for Griffin.
She was confronted about the warrant and taken into custody without incident after Springfield Dispatch confirmed the warrant was active.
Griffin was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing and issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
She was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $200 bail.
The incident was investigated by Sgt. Perkins and Officer Freeman.
