HAMDEN — A 43-year-old Hamden man was arrested on driving while intoxicated charges Friday evening following a domestic dispute, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Sheriff Craig S. DuMond said deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute in Hamden on Sept. 12.
Upon arrival, deputies interviewed the caller who reported that the other person involved had been drinking and left the residence while operating a motor vehicle.
Deputies later observed a vehicle returning to the residence and identified the operator as Christopher Langford.
During the interview process, deputies made observations that led them to believe Langford was impaired.
Following their investigation, deputies arrested and charged Langford with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content over 0.08 percent, both unclassified misdemeanors under New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Langford was released on appearance tickets returnable to Hamden Town Court at a later date.
