East Providence police arrest 2 in separate incidents Monday

EAST PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested two people in separate incidents Monday, including one person on a bench warrant and another for driving under the influence.

Troopers arrested Felix Cariano, 54, of 57 Cleveland St., Central Falls, at 10:19 a.m. on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear on a domestic violence simple assault charge.

The warrant originated from the Central Falls Police Department.

The arrest occurred during a motor vehicle stop on Taunton Avenue in East Providence.

Cariano was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Sixth Division District Court.

In a separate incident at 11:14 p.m., troopers arrested Alexia Stone, 22, of 20 Main St., Cumberland, for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs with unknown blood alcohol content as a first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test as a second offense.

Stone’s arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in Providence.

Stone was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and then transported by Lincoln Rescue to Fatima Hospital.
