FAIRFAX — Vermont State Police arrested a South Burlington man on a DUI charge after his vehicle slid off a road Sept. 13.
Andrew Houston, 43, was taken into custody at approximately 9:41 p.m. following a single-vehicle crash on Bessette Road near Snowcrest Road.
Police received a report of the slide-off and responded to the scene.
Houston was identified as the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle.
Officers observed indicators of impairment while speaking with Houston and conducted a DUI screening.
Houston was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the St. Albans State Police Barracks for processing.
He was later released and issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on a charge of DUI first offense with refusal.
