SCITUATE — Troopers arrested Breanna Northup, age 32, of 78 Oak Street, Apartment 12, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, at 12:30 p.m. on an affidavit and arrest warrant.
Northup faces charges of obtaining property under false pretenses exceeding $10,000, fraudulently obtaining assistance and false statement to obtain replacement public assistance.
The charges originated from an investigation by the State Police Scituate Barracks.
The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation by Trooper Hawkins and the Woonsocket Police Department locating the subject.
Northup was transported to State Police headquarters where she was processed and later transported to the Sixth District Court for arraignment.
In a separate incident at 2:30 p.m., troopers arrested Miguel Diaz, age 64, of 6025 Bamboo Drive, Orlando, Florida.
Diaz was arrested on a Sixth District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for ATP on the charge of willful trespass originating from the Woonsocket Police Department.
He also faces a Superior Court full bench warrant for violation of probation on the charge of possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance originating from the Woonsocket Police Department.
The arrest resulted from Capitol Police taking the subject into custody at the Division of Motor Vehicles.
Diaz was transported to State Police headquarters where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
