OTEGO — The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in an animal cruelty investigation in the area of Foster Lane in the Town of Otego.
On Sept. 6 at approximately 6 p.m., a gunshot was heard in the area.
Shortly afterward, the pet’s owner discovered their animal had been shot.
The animal was immediately taken to a veterinary facility and is currently receiving ongoing medical care.
