Salamanca police report multiple arrests over week-long period

SALAMANCA — Police arrested 13 people on various charges between Sept. 3 and Sept. 10, according to a report released by the Salamanca Police Department.

On Sept. 3, Melissa Shelley, 56, of Bradford, Pa., was arrested on a warrant charging her with misapplication of property.

Reda Lilley, 24, of Salamanca, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration following a traffic stop.

Tahya Ingersoll, 28, of Salamanca, was arrested for harassment in the second degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree and was held pending arraignment.

On Sept. 4, Brent Battaglia, 43, of Salamanca, was arrested for criminal contempt in the first degree and felony aggravated family offense and was held pending arraignment.

Jason Smith, 42, of Salamanca, was arrested on a warrant charging him with aggravated harassment in the second degree.

Derek Bates, 33, of Cattaraugus, was arrested for uninspected motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device and aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree following a traffic stop.

On Sept. 6, Bryce Williams, 27, of Salamanca, was arrested on multiple charges including two counts of menacing in the second degree, two counts of felony aggravated family offense, two counts of harassment in the second degree, two counts of criminal contempt in the first degree, criminal obstruction of breathing and burglary in the second degree.

Williams was arraigned and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of bail.

Lori Johnson, 58, of Salamanca, was arrested on a bench warrant issued by the Town of Niagara and was transported to Niagara Town Police.

On Sept. 7, an 18-year-old male from Salamanca was arrested for criminal impersonation in the second degree, unsafe turn/failure to signal, driving while intoxicated first offense, drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle, refusal to take a breath test and unlicensed operator following a traffic stop.

On Sept. 8, Quade Haynes, 34, of Salamanca, was arrested for uninspected motor vehicle and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree following a traffic stop.

Shayne Sage, 34, of Salamanca, was arrested for menacing in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and was held pending arraignment.

Preston Quinn, 31, of Limestone, was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Olean City Court and was transported to Olean Police.

On Sept. 10, Anthony Vasquez, 39, of Salamanca, was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, harassment in the second degree and felony aggravated family offense and was held pending arraignment.

Kali McGonigle, 35, of Salamanca, was arrested on a warrant charging her with failure to safely store a firearm in the first degree and was arraigned.
