MACEDON — The Macedon Police Department arrested a 38-year-old woman following an investigation that resulted in her home being condemned by code enforcement.
Tiffany Matteson of West Walworth Road was charged with endangering the welfare of a disabled person in the first degree, criminal contempt in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police received a complaint about the condition of a resident in the home.
As part of the investigation, police secured a search warrant for the residence.
The home was deemed unfit for habitation and was condemned by code enforcement.
The charges stem from the condition of both the home and an 18-year-old disabled resident.
Matteson was processed at the Macedon Police Department and transported to the Wayne County jail to await arraignment.
Police requested an order of protection for her 15-year-old daughter and a modification of a current order of protection for the 18-year-old.
The Macedon Police Department was assisted by Wayne County Animal Control/Cruelty Investigator, Macedon Town Code Enforcement and Macedon Town Ambulance.
