MANCHESTER — Manchester Police have arrested 39-year-old Jonathan Santiago Torres of Manchester in connection with two separate criminal incidents that happened earlier this year.

The first incident took place in May when a man was shot at a residence on Spruce St.

The injuries were non-life-threatening.

The second occurred in late August and involved a car being intentionally set on fire.

The blaze spread to 2 other vehicles and also damaged a neighboring building on Cartier St.

Following investigations, police developed probable cause linking Torres to both incidents.

Warrants were issued and Torres was arrested Tuesday.

He was charged with First Degree Assault with a Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Deadly Weapon, and Arson.

Torres is being held pending a court hearing.
