MASSENA — New York State Police arrested two men for petit larceny and a woman on outstanding warrants Sept. 9 following a theft at Home Depot.

Jason Boyea, 45, of North Bangor, and Hunter J. Lamay, 21, of Malone, were charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from the store on Stephenville Road.

Lisa A. Pitts, 33, of Massena, was arrested on outstanding warrants from previous incidents.

The arrests occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m. when State Police received a report of a larceny incident at the store.

An investigation revealed that Boyea and Lamay entered the store and were seen with merchandise valued at $399 and another item valued at $149.

The pair then exited the store without paying for the items and were seen running toward a vehicle, during which they dropped an item.

They fled the scene in a white Ford F-150.

State Police later located the vehicle and executed a search warrant at a nearby residence, where they found Boyea and Lamay hiding in the ceiling.

During the search, Pitts was discovered hiding under a couch and was taken into custody because of her outstanding arrest and bench warrants from different incidents.

Boyea and Lamay were arrested and transported to the State Police in Massena for processing.

They were released on appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Massena Court.

Pitts was arraigned in the Town of Potsdam Court for her existing warrants: conspiracy in the sixth degree from Potsdam Town Court, and reckless endangerment in the first degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and endangering the welfare of a child from Stockholm Town Court.

She was released on her own recognizance.
