HORSEHEADS — New York State Police arrested two individuals Sept. 8 following an investigation into fraudulently acquiring gift cards at the Walmart Super Center.
The suspects were identified as Christopher Causell, 29, of Hempstead, and Tavares Vineyard, 23, of New Jersey.
Both were taken into custody with assistance from troopers from SP Painted Post.
Causell and Vineyard were each charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony.
They were transported to SP Horseheads for processing.
Both defendants were issued appearance tickets returnable to Horseheads Town Court on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m.
The investigation remains ongoing.
