MIDDLETOWN — Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred Aug. 3 near 126 East Main Street, police announced Monday.
Woodley M. Jean, 37, Garry A. Jean, 38, and Keith B. Moore, 40, all of Middletown, were each charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and reckless endangerment in the first degree.
The shooting occurred during the early morning hours of Aug. 3.
All three suspects have been arraigned in Middletown City Court and are awaiting future court appearances.
Police executed two search warrants during the investigation, recovering two illegally possessed firearms.
The first search warrant was executed Aug. 11 at 418 North Street, the residence of Keith Moore.
A second no-knock search warrant was executed Aug. 22 at 265 Ruth Court with assistance from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group.
During the second operation, Woodley Jean and Garry Jean were taken into custody.
The two firearms were recovered during a search of a motor vehicle registered to Garry Jean.
New York State Police troopers were on patrol in the area when the shooting occurred and initially reported the incident to Middletown police.
The troopers assisted in searching for and recovering evidence at the scene.
The Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center and Orange County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
