PUTNAM — A two-car collision at the intersection of Farrows Street and Ring Street sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries Sunday night.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:10 p.m. Sept. 8 when a 2014 Nissan Rogue operated by 19-year-old Nathan Barrette of Putnam was traveling southeast on Farrows Street, according to the Putnam Police Department.

Police said Barrette failed to keep to the right when approaching the intersection of Ring Street and collided with a 2006 Toyota Corolla operated by 32-year-old Marcus Do Nascimento Moura of Putnam.

Putnam EMS transported Do Nascimento Moura and a 17-year-old juvenile passenger from the Nissan Rogue to Day Kimball Hospital for minor injuries.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

Barrette was issued citations for failure to drive right and operation of a motor vehicle by a permit holder without a proper instructor.
