Hartford crash injures 20-year-old driver on Interstate 91

HARTFORD — Vermont State Police received multiple reports of a vehicle driving erratically at high rates of speed on Interstate 91 South at 7:36 a.m. Sept. 9.

Shortly after the initial calls, the vehicle crashed near mile marker 71.6 southbound.

The vehicle exited the left lane, struck a ledge, and rolled over a guardrail across multiple lanes of traffic before coming to rest on the right side of the traveled lanes.

The operator, Jaxyn Lovell, 20, of Westminster, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

Lovell was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Lovell was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

The 2012 Ford F350 was totaled in the crash.

Weather conditions were clear and roads were dry at the time of the incident.

The crash remains under investigation.
