NEWTON — Police are searching for a missing 16-year-old boy who was last seen by his mother Saturday.
Joel Ivan Castillo-Suriel was last seen at approximately 12 p.m. Aug. 9 on Los Angeles Street in Newton, according to the Newton Police Department.
Castillo-Suriel is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build.
He was last seen wearing a black and green Celtics zip-up, white shirt and black slides.
Police said he may be in the Boston, Dorchester or Roxbury areas.
