MILTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 35-year-old Ballston Spa man Saturday morning following a harassment complaint.
Thomas J.P. Martin was taken into custody at 9:33 a.m. on Atomic Project Road after deputies responded to the call.
Martin faces charges of aggravated family offense and first-degree criminal contempt, both class E felonies.
Authorities say Martin committed a specified offense under the statute having previously been convicted of a specified offense within the immediately preceding five years.
He is also accused of violating an order of protection by communicating with the protected person outside the parameters allowed by the order.
The charge was elevated to a felony due to a previous criminal contempt conviction within the preceding five years.
Martin was arraigned before the Honorable Timothy M. Brown in Milton Town Court.
He was released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings.
