3-vehicle crash injures 1 on Fairfax highway

FAIRFAX — A three-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 104A near Leach Road left one person with suspected minor injuries Monday morning.

The Vermont State Police received a report of the crash at approximately 5:48 a.m. Sept. 8.

Frank Pruiksma, 39, of Enosburgh, was driving a 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser west on Route 104A when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.

Pruiksma’s vehicle collided with a 2011 GMC Sierra driven by Kurt Mcnamara, 28, of Georgia, and a 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport operated by Mark Lykes, 31, of Cambridge.

Lykes was transported to Northwestern Medical Center for suspected minor injuries.

Pruiksma and Mcnamara were not injured.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Road conditions were dry and weather was clear.

The Georgia Fire Department, Fairfax Fire Department and Fairfax Rescue assisted Vermont State Police at the scene.
