Minor arrested in Charlton assault involving shower rod

CHARLTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance complaint Friday at 9:05 a.m. in the town of Charlton.

Investigation into the call led to the arrest of a minor for assault in the 2nd degree, a class D felony.

The minor is accused of intentionally causing physical injury to another person by means of a dangerous instrument.

They allegedly struck the victim with a shower tension rod to their head and arms and bit, punched, and kicked them.

The victim was evaluated by EMS on scene and opted to seek medical treatment on their own.

The minor was released pending further proceedings in Saratoga County Family Court.
