Corning man arrested in Addison bank robbery

CORNING — The Steuben County SWAT team and Corning police executed a search warrant at a West First Street residence at about 5 a.m. Sept. 5 as part of an investigation into a bank robbery in Addison.

Officers recovered an AR platform-type pellet rifle, a pellet pistol, a vehicle, cash and phones during the search.

Dominick W. Bova, 30, of West First Street, was arrested at the residence.

Bova is accused of robbing a financial institution in Addison on Aug. 22 while displaying what appeared to be a firearm.

Investigators conducted dozens of interviews, processed more than 100 tips and recovered footage from multiple cameras over two weeks to identify Bova as the alleged robber, according to Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard.

Bova is charged with robbery in the first degree, a class B felony; grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony; criminal coercion in the first degree, a class D felony; and menacing in the second degree.

Bova is being held for arraignment.

Additional charges are expected.
