Owego police report 3 arrests, 199 calls for service

OWEGO — The Owego Police Department responded to 199 calls for service during the week of Aug. 25 through Aug. 31.

Police made three arrests and issued 12 traffic tickets during the period.

Officers also responded to four motor vehicle accidents.

Aziz G. Abizadeh, 46, of Owego, was arrested on a warrant for grand larceny in the third degree, a felony, issued by Broome County Court.

Abizadeh was turned over to Broome County Sheriff’s custody for arraignment at Broome County Centralized Arraignment Court.

Gordon Cressman, 72, of Owego, was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, a violation, following a harassment complaint on East Temple Street.

Cressman was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Owego Court.

Geno J. Grishaber, 46, of Canandaigua, was arrested on a warrant issued by New York State Police in Horseheads.

Grishaber was turned over to state police custody for arraignment at Chemung County Centralized Arraignment Court.
