MALTA — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman on drug charges following a report of a suspicious vehicle Aug. 28.
Tabatha J. Heitzmann, 44, of Wilton, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
Deputies say Heitzmann knowingly and unlawfully possessed more than 27 grams of crack cocaine.
She also allegedly possessed scales used for weighing or measuring controlled substances under circumstances indicating an intent to use them unlawfully.
The criminal possession charge is a Class B felony under subdivisions 1 and 12.
The drug paraphernalia charge is a Class A misdemeanor.
Heitzmann was arraigned before Judge Timothy M. Brown in Milton Town Court.
She was released pending further court proceedings.
