Fulton County sheriff reports 36 arrests in 2-week period

JOHNSTOWN — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office made 36 arrests while handling 455 incidents between Aug. 15-28, according to a bi-weekly report released by the department.

The incidents included 91 traffic stops, 23 motor vehicle accidents, 17 welfare checks, 15 disorderly conduct complaints and 11 animal complaints.

Other incidents handled by deputies included nine larcenies, eight domestic violence complaints, six fraud cases, four criminal contempts, three assaults, three burglaries and three DWIs.

The department also responded to two menacing complaints, two mental health complaints, one drug overdose, one missing person case, one trespass complaint and one unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Among those arrested, Zachariah S. Etherton, 24, of Gloversville, faces multiple felony charges including four counts of burglary in the third degree and one count of criminal mischief in the third degree.

Frederick J. Muhlberger, 28, of Gloversville, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal contempt in the first degree, both felonies, along with endangering the welfare of a child.

Richard A. Janes, 45, of Milton, was arrested on a warrant and charged with bail jumping in the second degree, a felony, and tampering with physical evidence, also a felony.

Other arrests included multiple charges for operating motor vehicles with suspended registrations, aggravated unlicensed operation, criminal mischief and various misdemeanor offenses.

Tad C. Ruggiero, 22, of Gloversville, was charged with driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree in the Town of Johnstown.

Joseph T. Robles, 46, of Duanesburg, faces charges of menacing in the second degree, assault in the third degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree in the Town of Mayfield.
