Providence man arrested on multiple felony shoplifting, domestic violence warrants

PROVIDENCE — Members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Scott T. Brown, 58, of 47 Oakland Avenue, on Sept. 2 on multiple warrants.

Brown faces arrest warrants from the Warwick Police Department for felony shoplifting and from the Cranston Police Department for felony shoplifting.

He also faces a Providence County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for sentencing on a domestic violence charge originating from the Smithfield Police Department.

Additional warrants include a Providence County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for pre-trial conference on a domestic violence charge from Cranston police.

Brown faces a Second District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for pre-trial conference on an obstruction charge from Middletown police.

He also has a Newport County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on a felony shoplifting charge from Middletown police.

Brown faces a Washington County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on a felony shoplifting charge from North Kingstown police.

Additional warrants include a Kent County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on a felony shoplifting charge from Warwick police.

Brown also faces two Third District Court bench warrants for failure to appear for pre-trial conferences on charges of obtaining property by false pretense, both originating from Warwick police.

Brown was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Warwick Police Department.

In a separate arrest on Sept. 2, members of the HIDTA Task Force and Pawtucket Police Department Special Squad arrested Efrain Domenech, 50, of 36 Division Street, Lincoln.

Domenech faces charges including possession with intent to deliver cocaine and fentanyl, possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation, and possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited.

He also faces charges for possession of a device that renders a firearm fully automatic and multiple counts of possessing large-capacity feeding devices.

Domenech was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace and transported to the ACI Intake Service Center pending morning arraignment in Third District Court.
