HYANNIS — A 24-year-old Hyannis man was arrested just after midnight Tuesday in connection with a stabbing that occurred earlier in the night.
Shaukeem Johnson was taken into custody for his involvement in the stabbing of a 38-year-old man in the lower back on Monday night.

Johnson was located a short time later and transported to the Barnstable Police Department where he was booked on one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Johnson was arraigned at Barnstable District Court on Tuesday and is due back in court Wednesday, Oct. 1.
