BOSTON — Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Willie Green, 45, of Boston, at about 6 a.m. Thursday in the area of 1675 Dorchester Avenue.
Green was wanted on a warrant issued out of West Roxbury District Court for multiple charges including three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
Additional charges include discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, firearm violation with three prior violent/drug crimes, and carrying a loaded firearm without a license third offense.
Green also faces charges of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card subsequent offense.
Green is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred at about 10:49 a.m. on Aug. 23 when officers assigned to District E-13 responded to the area of 70 Rossmore Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident and shots fired.
An unoccupied vehicle was observed to have crashed into a second unoccupied vehicle.
A third vehicle with two occupants was struck by the vehicle but no injuries were reported.
Officers recovered ballistic evidence on scene.
