WESTFIELD — A 46-year-old man was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after experiencing a medical event that caused his truck to crash into trees on Buck Hill Road.
Jason Belisle of Westfield was driving his 2025 GMC Sierra HD on Buck Hill Road near #1103 at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 31 when he experienced the medical event and drove off the road, according to Vermont State Police.
The truck struck several trees, causing significant damage to the front end and driver’s side.
Members of the Troy Fire Department extricated Belisle from the vehicle.
Newport EMS transported Belisle to North Country Hospital with moderate injuries.
Belisle was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Weather conditions were clear with dry gravel road conditions.
