UTICA — A Utica woman was arrested after deputies responded to a report of a physical domestic incident on Sept. 1.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, K’la Valentine engaged in a physical altercation with the victim while the victim was holding his child.
The victim received several marks and scratches during the incident.
Deputies discovered that an active order of protection was in place, prohibiting such contact between the parties.
The case was turned over to the Domestic Violence Unit for further investigation.
Valentine was charged with harassment in the second degree, criminal contempt in the first degree, and endangering the welfare of a child.
